5 nodes in 6 inches is very rare, but i have seen it in the bamboo in the back yard. I feel there was some physical influence to produce that. Or perhaps it rained for 5 days in a row :)

BTW we're chopping down all the bamboo, too invasive. I'll look for one of these rare instances.
