It only took one try (the fewest number of any so far!); I used the Snapseed app to dial the curve on all the channels on the original selfie image down to where the high end is just above zero. (It was hard enough to distinguish from all black on my phone that I had to verify it worked by taking the image I posted and dialing up the brightness all the way. :) )
I'm afraid my schedule is a little full lately, now that I'm coordinating (and among the) participants on the US East Coast and all of South America for an online global Midorikai alumni tea relay event that's coming up in slightly more than a week (yikes). I should be a good bit more available after that, though.
