I like how the green accents, angles, and cement base seem to tie it in with the garden.

It's funny, at the time I thought I was capturing one of the "ugly" incongruities in Japanese historic/traditional places that I and most other photographers almost always take pains to keep out of the frame. But you've made me realize I was unconsciously noticing an incongruity that's serendipitously attractive!

It's remarkable that a country so well served by mobiles would still have a phone booth.

I imagine that it's there so the garden spirits can call for --- what sort of food do folks in that area get delivered?
