I've been coming to realize that this selfie-a-day project might have the bonus effect of improving my photography skills, which is also something I want to do this year.
They're shelves for my kitchen—part of an effort to get stuff up off of the counters so they don't become cluttered and a deterrent to cooking. (My kitchen has a good amount of cupboard space, but there's inevitably a group of stuff that I want at hand often enough that it never makes its way back into a cupboard.)
